April 1,  Dear friends,  We were recently forwarded an article, which We believe all should read.

April 6: We have been busy and hope to post more here soon.  This is why all should have a regular program of daily spiritual reading.

April 8
Over the next several weeks We propose to discuss the Will of God and how to recognize it.  We hope to post several times a week.  For this is the will of God, your sanctification; I Thessalonians 4:3
Let us go to Saint John Eudes for guidance in finding out God's will:
1. by His Commandments;
2. by His Cousels;
3. by the laws, rules and the obligations of your state of life;
4. by the authority of those placed over you or directing you;
5. by events, since every happening is an infallible sign that God so wills, either by absolute or by permissive will.

April 10  Weather has delayed posting.  The willof God has been that I should post slowly lately.  God has written His Law on ouer hearts, and restated it in summary in the Ten Commandments.  Didn't Jesus say: "If you love Me, keep My Commandments?"  And thus all of us should recognize the will of God made so clear to us!

April 15: I am away from home a few days and am busy about the work of the Church and this thought was forwarded to me from Cry of a Lost Soul:

"Prayer is the first step towards God, And it is the decisive step. Especially prayer to her who is the Mother of Christ, whose name we never pronounce. Devotion to her rescues from the devil numberless souls whom sin would infallibly give to him. To pray is the easiest thing man can do on earth. And God has tied up the salvation of each one exactly to this very easy thing.To him who prays with perseverance little by little God gives so much light, so much strength, that even the most debased sinner will at the end come back to salvation."
My friend's observation:
Blessed are those who pray, for they shall find life everlasting.

April 27: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are the Rogation days or Minor Litanies.  On these days the Litany of the Saints is sung beofre the main Mass and a Procession held.  Thursday is the Feast of the Ascension of Our Lord into Heaven, which is a Holyday of Obligation.  We have returned from Our trip to Colorado only to find that We could not post to Our websites.  The problem has been cleared.

April 28  We are clearing things up and realize We had planned on discussing how to recognize the will of God.  Well events, which is one way of recognizing God's will have kept Us rather busy with other things.  In fact, We ask all to pray for a special intention in the next weeks, especially while making the Novena to the Holy Ghost before Pentecost.

April 29: Several days ago I was forwarded something from the Cure of Ars, Saint John Vianney.  I am posting it here without comment, as it leads into some other thigns that have also been sent from other sources.  Comments will come directly (or indirectly).

Intention of the Pope for March: That all may obtain health of soul and be resigned to the Will of God in their sicknesses, during this flu epidemic.

Lord, all hearts are in Thy Hands: Thou canst bend as Thou wilt the most stubborn and soften the most obdurate.  Do that honor this day to the Precious Blood, the merits, the sacred wounds, the Holy Name, and loving Heart of Thy beloved Son, of granting the conversion of sinners.  (In place of sinners, a specific name or names may be inserted.)
For whom the Lord loveth, He chastiseth: (Proverbs 3:12)
Let us accept the Will of God, even if it is a hard saying
Speaking of Saint Teresa, Rev. Jeagher in The Virtue of Trust says: Truly, spiritual dryness in no way diminished her loving trust in Jesus.  On the contrary, for this she had an especial love in that it gave her the opportunity of pleasing Jesus without experiencing pleasure herself.
